Frequently Asked Questions
Oftentimes our patients have asked questions about us, the way we run our practice and certain procedures we perform. We have taken the liberty to provide you a list of the most popular questions and answers. Hopefully we have answered a question you have wanted to know. But, if we haven't, please feel free to email us with your inquiry and we will respond to your question promptly!
Do you accept referrals?
Absolutely. In fact, most of our new patients are referred to us by existing patients.
What do I do if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
If you have an emergency when we are closed, we have a 24 hour answering service that will notify us of your call.
I have a temporary crown in my mouth. What happens if it comes off or breaks?
If your temporary comes off, just place a small amount of denture adhesive such as Fixodent to hold it until you can see us to re-cement it. If you have a temp that breaks, then call us ASAP so we can replace it.
My child has had an accident and his/her tooth has been entirely knocked out. What do I do?
If it is a permanent tooth and has been out of the mouth for less than 15 minutes, attempt to replace it in the socket. If unable to replace it or it is longer than 15 minutes, place the tooth in milk and bring it to the office.
How can I safely whiten my teeth?
We offer two types of whitening: in-office laser whitening and take-home whitening. Both offer safe and very effective results. Call us for details.
What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?
We follow all OSHA guidelines and use the latest sterilization techniques.
I really do not like visiting the dentist, is there anything you can do to help me relax?
For apprehensive or phobic patients, we provide nitrous oxide to help you relax. For those with greater anxiety, we provide conscious sedation.
Do I have to floss every day? Is it really that important?
Yes, you must floss everyday. It helps prevent gum disease, the number one cause of tooth loss. Brushing only does half the job. If you are still unsure, then only floss the teeth you want to keep.
I want my front teeth to look better, but I do not want to wear braces. What would you recommend?
Minor cosmetic issues can usually be resolved with whitening and tooth recontouring. Those with more in depth needs can transform their smile with porcelain veneers. We also offer Clear Correct and Invisalign® invisible braces.
What kind of payment options do you offer?
